SPECS

All VSERPI are stand alone hardware video synthesizers/processors with digital processing by way of a raspberry pi SBC, with analog (NTSC and PAL) and digital (HDMI at 720x480 30ps) video outputs.

All VSERPI are compatible with UVC usb video inputs and USB midi controllers

Most VSERPI are based off of interchangable hardware sets and swapping out the different synths is a simple matter of swapping SD cards flashed with the different firmwares.  (This is the underlying basis of the VSERPI Master System).

The Audio Reactive VSERPI (Auto Mesh and Auto Waaave) require an additional audio processor add on.  The Vector Synth VSERPI (Phosphorm) also requires this add on but for sending audio signals out to an

All of the VSERPI images are open source, the VSERPI hardware sets are easy to obtain commercial grade hardware, and instructions on assembling them are publically available.  This means that modding and upgrading your purchased units, and/or bypassing the VSE shop to build your own entirely are pretty acheivable goals.

Waaave Pool, Artificial Life, Auto Waaave, and Phosphorm can all work with no active video inputs as signal generators on their own.  All the other VSERPI require some kind of active video input to at least get things moving.

All VSERPI that take video inputs can handle NTSC or PAL SD analog video via yellow rca or s-video and HDMI signals up to 1080p 60.
